  • what a fantastic person to have in the world. and the same goes to all people watching; you're all great people for at least having the slightest urge to feel compassion and empathy towards others. good on you all.

  • @Sh3rby Thank you! Its not always easy o feel compassion and empathy but this is a great meditation for cultivating it, or for using when I realise I've been feeling angry or annoyed with someone.

  • I've used this video over the last 2 months many times, and am always pleased by how peaceful I feel afterwards. Thank you for your time putting this together!

If you don't mind me asking, how long were you a monk, and how did you decide when it was time to leave?

  • @akomnat I'm glad you're finding it helpful. It is a very peaceful meditation. I was a monk for 6 years. Leaving just felt like the right thing to do, it was time to explore living outside with what I had learned in the Monastery. Sometimes there is a body sense of knowing what one has to do that is not thought through - the thoughts come latter but the body tells us what we have to do.

  • Hey great video. It's really helped.

  • @Srbabiruso Thank you!

  • Thank you so much for sharing your experience and wisdom with us!

I'd love to have more guided metta meditations like this with the different stages (yourself, loved one, acquaintance, enemy) and which are perhaps a little longer, to develop the meditation and metta state a bit more deeply.

    Thank you again.
