Today is March 14th. Just another Saturday in the life of most. But for some, this is the day of their wedding, the day when they finally get to spend the rest of their lives with someone else. They found that someone to live for. But many are still waiting....

Here it is: the premiere of A Dream Come True.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The life of a prince. It's fun, I guess. But it never seems to satisfy me. I can get anything I want, any girl I want but that means nothing to me. I've been introduced to plenty of girls so I can marry one of them but they're all shallow and only want me for my crown. I don't want a girl like that.
"Joseph, someone's here to see you," my mother said in a singsong voice. Ugh. I knew what that meant. Another girl.
"Coming," I responded. I didn't bother to fix myself up because I didn't really care what this girl thought. She was gonna be just like the rest. A stuck-up, conceited little brat. I already knew.
I walked out and into the main room. Just as I suspected, there was a girl standing there. She had blonde, long hair and had too much make-up. She was wearing the biggest dress I had ever seen and she was trying way too hard to look good. She was kinda pretty but I knew that behind all that, she was just a stupid little rich girl.
"Joseph, I'd like you to meet Sabrina. Sabrina, this is my son, Prince Joseph." I put on a fake smile and shook her hand. She looked at me in this weird way, like she wanted to pounce on me or something. It was kinda scaring me.
"Can I go now?" I asked my mother.
"How rude. Go into the dining room and have dinner with Sabrina. I'm sure you'll have a lovely talk." Ugh. This was the only reason I didn't like my mom. She always tried to make me like someone when it was obvious I didn't.
The dinner went splendidly horrible. She was the most boring person I'd ever met. She only talked about herself and nothing else. I tried to look interested but I caught myself staring off several times. Finally, the dinner was over. I walked her to the door. "I hope we can see each other again," she said to me, clearly flirting.
"Yeah, not gonna happen." With that, I pushed her outside and slammed the door. Another come, another gone.
I started to walk back to my room when my mother stopped me. "Isn't she perfect?"
"Yeah, perfectly boring."
"Don't say that. She's a wonderful girl. Rich too."
"I don't care about that. Can't you see that I want a real girl? Someone who actually cares about me?" I stormed off to my room and shut the door. I hated this. I was 20 years old and my mother was expecting me to marry soon. But who to marry? I didn't like any of the princesses she brought home.
I once suggested that I find a girl to marry who's not a princess or rich but she only laughed. She said that was the most ridiculous thing she'd ever heard. My father agreed. Apparently, it had to be a princess or at least someone with a high social status. I looked out the window and thought about my dream girl. I knew how she'd be.
She wouldn't obsess over herself. She'd be modest and never try too hard to look beautiful. She would be carefree and willing to do anything with me. She was going to be loving and caring, actually taking into consideration how I felt. She would be crazy and fun, sometimes getting into danger just so I could save her.
I sighed and closed the window. Too bad she didn't exist. I walked over to my bed and laid down, still thinking about the perfect girl. She had to be out there somewhere. And I would find her. And we would be in love and get married, despite my mother's or my father's thoughts. We would truly live happily ever after. That was my plan, my dream.
But dreams don't come true. Or do they?
I hope this first chapter was up to your expectations. I hope that you will continue to read as well. Just a note, I will not be doing any more questions of the day. Very sorry. But I will still do a favorite comment so don't forget to leave your opinion.
