@Tazza17 I have to agree with this. I use steroids and yeah, honestly they have thinned my skin at times, but as long as you don't make them a permanent regiment, your skin does eventually recover and go back to normal. I'd prefer to not have the skin-thinning and not flood my body with a bunch of steroids, absolutely but when the eczema is bad and that's the only option, you do what you have to to get rid of it.
I got addicted to steroid creams after using them over 30 years for childhood eczema. They actually make it worse as well as other skin issues. I stopped using 7 months ago and going through horrible withdrawals. Check out my story and several other people who got addicted to steroid creams. Facebook site: Steroid Red Skin Syndrome or my Red Skin Syndrome website.
I agree, with personal experience. I used a steroid cream for years on my face and now its so thin and sensative! Avoid them if posible. Would appreciate a solution to repair thinning of skin because ive been looking for years and its seriously affecting me as a person :(
They are fine if you use them short term. Even the strong ones I've used. Use the roid creams for a week max then switch to other creams and you'll be side effect free. It's only if you use them for months on end you start to experience side effects. This guys talking shit.
I actually agree. The creams made my undereye skin very thin and fragile. These days, I sometimes wake up having very dry and cracked skin, which stings when I try to moisturise them. So be careful guys, steroid creams are good only for short term. Long term use is definitely not good. I think my dermatologist told me that but somehow I didn't really get it and now it's too late. :(
