Hugh Thompson from the AT&T tech channel visits Kroll Ontrack's data recovery facilities. To learn more about data recovery or about Kroll Ontrack, visit them at: http://www.ontrackdatarecovery.ca.
I can't speak much for the "interesting" host but for the record, Kroll Ontrack's data recovery are very skilled experts and have done an excellent job in recovering corporate and personal data. I speak from personal experience. Thanks guys! :)
This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. That clean room is NOT a cleanroom. Those jacket won't do anything considering they put them on outside the cleanroom where dust particles can still land on the jacket. They are brining more dust into the room and will most likely put the hard drives at risk.. This is such a joke. The poor people who send their data there.
Haha! I love how they imply that that cloth lab jacket is going to help in the cleanroom! What a farce! And why does the ontrack guy call a 3.5" drive 5 1/4 ?
And what were they thinking letting that nutcase near people's sensitive data!!?? :)
There's a reason why most data recovery companies use laminar clean flow benches. There's no way the "cleanroom" in this video is anywhere near cleanbench clean.
96% from that ZIP drive? I couldn't even tell that was a ZIP. Also, those crashed drives, they seemed like that wasn't a big deal at all to recover from those extreme physical crashes.
Those guys at Kroll are simply the best in the field. Hands down!

Lab coats do not make it a cleanroom. Head cover? Gloves? Shoe covers? Face mask?
And that host is the worst ever.

Though I expect Ontrack knows what it's doing. Maybe the guy was on a leash off of the view of the camera :)
