In my quiet times this week I'm reading the book of Judges.

It's kinda hard to associate the God I know with the God of the Old Testament. Reading the old testament, it shows how fickle we are as the children of God. How we constantly go back and forth generation after generation pursuing our own interests thinking we can do better. And fail.

J.I. Packer says in his book "Knowing God" in chapter seven this truism, "...But as we read, we get more and more puzzled. Though facinated, we are not being fed. Our reading is not helping us; it leaves us bewildered and, if the truth be told, somewhat depressed. We find ourselves wondering whether Bible reading is worth going on with."

The one thing I see is that no matter what we do or how often we reject God, he is always merciful and desires that we return to him.

Joshua 1:9 says this, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

I wrote this song "more" thinking about the things on my heart and took comfort in these words.
I meant for it to be a message to me that God can and wants to do more in my life than even I can imagine. So by putting all my trust, fears, worries, anxieties, and following after his commands with all my heart not looking back or wondering what others think of me, God will show me more of him in my life.
