Boy !!! Yeah she's always been heavy, and she's still heavy. Love the way she plays cause she's feelin it. And yeah there is some Tony Williams in there, but so what, she has learned his experience and thrown it back out there with a different spin on it. Most drummers style come from what has inspired them. I agree with dude below, build on a tradition of excellence. Bless Hipnoticbeatz P.S. I know this is a year ago, I'm just sayin !!!

have to disagree. Honoring and carrying on the tradition of a direct mentorship relationship, and doing new things with it to build on a tradition of excellence, is WAY different than just imitating someone you have no connection to that you're ego is obsessed with and trying to copy.

Cindy is a great player but all this music sounds like stuff Tony did in the 70's. O well, we all imitate our hero's.
