im from somali andaint never been there but watching thing like this makes me love it even more. i just hope that there will be peace al through out somalia so i could go and visit. i think that somai people have the best culture ever.

If so, then it could be that it started as a devotional dance (SUFI) then progressed to what we see now! I grew up in Aden Colony & people used to dance this in weddings! Also, the JAANDHEER, the HIRIMAAHE & the HOOLEBEY! Also, the HIRRIMA-DUBBE!

Thank you slour, I always feel more close Eritrean then Ethiopian, when was in Jeddah early 1980's me and my friends eat at local Eritrean restaurant at An'akesh (Jeddah) the food was similar to Somali food.
