Our girls researched a lot for this! They took second place this year at Shakespeare Festival. The video is pretty good aside from the guy in front of me's head...

  • This isn't thier choreography. Mary Wigman should not be stolen. If it is Inspired by her, which I doubt it is, it needs to be said so.

  • @jklwaite I never said they cam up with the idea all on their own, it is indeed Mary Wigman inspired, however, this choregraphy was designed by the girls. I'm sorry

  • Where can you find this music?

  • @jamielaurengarner This music is an original recording that some members of my acting troupe made themselves. I will however tell the composer that you liked it and maybe if you give me a purpose I could email you a copy of the soundtrack depending on how he feels.

  • I think it's pretty great..yeah some choreography is in perfect unison but the witches have their individuality and it shows here ...I dig it

  • That was a hot mess... I was looking for inspiration for a piece about Witches myself but this is definitely not there yet. I think the girls should have incorporated more of the rawness and power of Wigman's performances. Use more body and less mind and really dig into the very inhuman, animalistic intent of the witches. These girls are very acrobatic though, not yet witches, but acrobatic :)

  • After watching this again, I definitely see some parts I wish we had been able to polish a little more! It's still incredible though, and to think they came up with this in only a couple weeks, in class! Way to go, girls!!

  • @jklwaite GET OVER YOURSELF! Our girls developed this dance entirely on their own! Although they did not invent certain movements, they did tie it all together and add their own effects and emotion. Perhaps you didnt read the excerpt correctly; this is an award winning piece that we worked hard to gain recognition on. I believe it deserves such recognition, so if you have nothing better to do than belittle our performance, do not reply!

  • @BML1013 This is a form of dance developed in the 1930's attempting to display the human body's ability for movement in everyway, dancing can be used to depict different emotions (or character as seen here.) This form of dance in particular is actually considored extremely advanced and difficult. Although I can see how someone who didn't know about it could think it wasn't dance, please don't insult our prize winning girls when you don't know as much about the dancing world as they do.
