This is one of those songs that are unforgettable and are lifelong. The melody is infectious and can instantly put you in a happy mood. For the life of me, I cannot see how contemporary songs can do that. And isn't that what art is supposed to do...make you think or lift your mood? Thanks Ron, for the performance and thanks for the posting.

I grew up along the North Carolina Coast, Morehead City/Atlantic Beach, and Beach Music is the only way to go. I can dance to it and understand the words the whole thing that makes music the real thing Ann

Great song, I never get tired of hearing it. And despite the obvious fact that it is the original lead singer, this perfomrmance sounds SO much like the original recording and that is great. Most times that a song (especially and older song) there is a remarkable difference between it and the original.
