abuse on the bus 2009

I was on a bus going into the city centre and the driver was telling people her ticket machine was broken and that she couldnt give tickets which means she should either have radioed for another bus as she couldnt proceed or to let passengers on free like they do in Leeds with the ftr 4 service when the same happens. Anyhow the guy in the video had a weekly pass which the female driver wouldn't accept stating he needed a ticket from her which is total bullshit, he then offered her the money and she refused that...he wouldnt get off the bus at this point as he had a valid ticket so she called the police stating a load of crap, later after the police removed the guy she let other passengers on the bus and her ticket machine was working which pissed everyone off on the bus as she obvioulsy had it in for this one guy for some reason, he was never abusive or swore and he never got violent...this was the number 56 bus into leeds run by firstbus leeds if people are interested.

drivers shouldnt be expected to put up with any sort of abuse from people its not right.

You dont seem to have read or listened to the clip dude...the guy never gave any abuse at all...dont know which part of that you dont understand myself....and in my experience it isnt the bus drivers that need to worry about abuse its the passengers, iv had them going past stops, iv had them taking the piss when theyve braked n u hurt yourself...iv had them give me abuse when iv asked for their badge number so i think you need to rethink your comment mate.

Never expect backup on a bus. In Canada a guy got decapitated and nobody (36 other people) gave a shit to help him. Because on a bus everyone can escape if there's danger, on a boat or plane however people will back you up because there is more of a mob mentality, due to no escape.
