Don't worry about the bathroom tile reverb, I think it sounds cool haha. What I do when fooling around with recording is that I sing in a closet with towels or pillows to dampen out any metal shelves, etc., then I add reverb using digital effects in a DAW or something. Vocal tracks usually need reverb otherwise they sound too dry and muffled.
