This is dedicated to my beautiful best friend Lindsey who gave me the grace to let her be my servant, whilst I was helping her.

  • Hello, this song is one of my favourites, because the words are such a deep wish. Sometimes I think no one understands a thing about it. My question to you: why do you sing this song, (in such a simply wonderful way)

    Carolien Opraus. Holland.

  • Hello Carolien

Thank you. I love to help other people out - to try to follow Christ's example as a servant of all. However, I and I fear many other Christians have such a hard time accepting help from others when needed. That's why it is such a heartfelt desire f mine - for God to grant me grace to let others serve me too. That's mainly why I recorded this song. So often I feel like St Peter in the Upper Room, and would rather be serving another than having someone else serving me. God bless

  • Thanks for posting; I love this song!

  • Albert, I love the way you sing the song. There is a noted accent in your pronunciation of the words that lends charm to the song. Thanks for sharing your interpretation of the song.

  • There is copyright infringement in that the author's name is not posted. Other than that, the speech police don't exist yet to where we can't sing a song ourselves without fear of plagiarism litigation. :)

  • wow

  • I know the guy who wrote this. I think he'd be amused to see this (though he might wonder if copyright was bing infringed by posting it without permission). He lives here in Whangarei New Zealand tho he was born in Wiltshire England) In a recent poll this came in at No 33 of Britain's 50 most favorite hymns.

  • i really love this song. good job.=)

  • Great song!!! way to go!!
