I've from the U.S and I moved to Quebec and a year ago. I love learning French because well it would have made sense for me to move to another place and expect population of people living there to adapt to me, I'm the one who moved so I should learn to speak the language. Since I have been here I'm having trouble understand why the English speakers from other provinces insist of making Quebec more so Montreal be bi-lingual instead of respecting the french heritage. I don't understand this.

@bennyjohnhampson You re a lier , British people love us , they love the language, the cuisine, the landscape ! Do you know that France is the first destination for the british ? France is the country with the most british expatriate in the world. Plus, I been there and people were really warm and cool , happy to know me ! They love France .

Good documentary but two things. First, the Europeans didn't bring new diseases, they brought a new way of life that threw the Hurons way of life out of order, thus making them susceptible to these diseases. And second the 1200 soldiers were hardly a deterrent for the Iroquois. A peace treaty was signed between the French and the Iroquois. Even with the 1200 soldiers, the Iroquois had a far greater force. And through trade the Iroquois had full access to guns so there was no firepower adv.

Even in France they have different accents, sayings and ways of speaking the language : just like in ..USA for instance. It still french..or we would'nt be able to understand each other right?

That's not how it works. You should read a bit about international laws.

@Patriote17 Last I checked, formal consent was never necessary to approve the 1982 Constitution. I believe the French also transferred authority over Quebec and Labrador to the British upon signing the Treaty of Paris in 1763, so it was never an independent sovereign territory anyways and would therefore not be subject to international laws. By the way, where are you going to get an army to annex Labrador?

@AmersfoortTristan Yes indeed. I think pretty much 99% of the people on this planet can agree that the British government has been a plague on mankind.
Le Quebecois is not even a language,its a joke of a language,our french is unique and everywhere in the world all the francophones can speak it well but you Canadians dont say that our french is g@y.. look at yourselves 1st try to speak it then once you make it come back then criticize whatever makes you happy dirty bastards.

@aries37300 je ne comprends pas vraiment ton commentaire. Si tu t'adresses aux Québécois parle français. Si tu parles de notre accent, c'est un accent qui vient de la Bretagne et du Nord de la France. Notre français est plus ancien que le votre...

@Kenoburned
No you're wrong dude,all the french colonies can speak french properly excepted "Quebec" which is a mix of english and french actualy named as Le Français-Quebecois so it has really nothing to do with the real french language from France.
Its kinda like England,all the english people from there are the only ones that can speak it perfectly,its not even comparable with United States,they can for sure speak it but in way far more different also their accents.
