Hello on this Thursday, the 6 day of March. I'm Kristin Volk with a UPI Headline Update.
A man on a bicycle is a possible suspect in a blast in Times Square early this morning. The incident happened at a military recruiting station in New York City's most famous spot. The bomb caused no injuries, but minor damage to the building. Officials say the device contained some kind of low order explosive in a military-style ammunition box.
President Bush says Republican presidential nominee John McCain will stay the course in Iraq. Yesterday, Bush formally endorsed the Arizona senator in the White House Rose Garden. He said McCain understands this is a dangerous world, and he has the courage and determination to pursue the enemy. Democrats quickly responded saying a McCain presidency would represent a third Bush term by continuing his policies on Iraq, the economy and healthcare.
Florida and Michigan leaders are pleading for a do-over so their delegates to the Democratic national convention will count in the presidential nominee tally. The national party stripped the states of their delegates as punishment for moving up their primaries. Talk about the delegates comes as Democratic senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama scramble for every available delegate. Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean says they won't change the rules.
U.S. home foreclosures have hit an all-time high. Two percent of all mortgages are currently in foreclosure, according to a recent survey. That's reportedly the highest rate in the report's quarterly history. Plus, the number of mortgage borrowers who were more than 30 days late on a payment in the last 3 months of this year is at its highest rate since 1985. Policy makers are worried that the numbers may grow when many subprime loans face a built-in interest rate reset in coming months.
That's all for now. Thanks for watching today's update, and join us tomorrow for a report from the White House.

REASONS FOR USA TO INVADE COUNTRIES
1.INVASION IN AFGHANISTAN - Reason: searching the plotters of 9/11 (the terrorists on board were Arab/African Nationals. Who was Afghan?)
2.INVASION IN IRAQ - Reason: to make Iraq a better place (when was Iraq an ugly place?)
3.INVASION IN PAKISTAN - Reason: a Pakistani-US citizen caught trying to set off a bomb at Times Square NY (That's what a person dreams to do after becoming a Qualified Accountant + MBA)
4.INVASION IN IRAN - Reason pending...

THEY SLEPT not 100 feet from where it happened. There's a police station across the street from the recruiting station.
