Tools you'll probably need:
- Phillips screwdriver
- 7 mm socket
- 10 mm socket
- 10 mm wrench
- 11 mm wrench

Stuff that needs to go to the passenger area:
- Servo cable
- red
- yellow
- purple
- green
- brown

Servo Switch Settings:
1 - On (8k PPM)
2 - On (8k PPM)
3 - Off (Tach Only)
4 - Off (High Sensitivity: Low Power Vehicles)
5 - On (High Sensitivity / Low Power Vehicles)
6 - Off (The supplied switch is Normally Open)
7 - On (Coil)
If your truck is manual transmission: pull the jumper out that is below the LED and left of the DIP switches!
If you go by the instructions and have the PPM set to 4000, you might run into the same problem that I had: the cruise control won't work over 3000 RPM. I set it to 8000 PPM and it now works to at least 5000 RPM.

I know I said (in the video) that the black wire (the one that contains in it a black and a gray wire, NOT the the short black ground wire) needs to go to the passenger area. The gray wire (in the big black double-wire) is for the VSS. Don't use the VSS. Just wire-tie (these are included) these out of the way. You could clip them off somewhere, but I wouldn't recommend it as I may be wrong and you might need them. Try it without using them first.

A note about the vacuum source: the Audiovox instructions say never to tap into the Brake Booster Vacuum. I did this (at the recommendation of the Toyota dealership in town here) and have had no problems so far. If you choose to do this, do it at your own risk to life and limb. The safer way would be to either build a vacuum canister (or order it (I think it's part number CCS201 or 202)), or install an actual vacuum pump somewhere that the servo will run off of. This way, you're not tapping into anything you shouldn't.

On connecting the servo cable to the top of the accelerator pedal: be prepared to struggle with it for a while, especially if you don't have small hands and short arms. I used the medium tube clamp (the kit comes with 3: small, medium, and large) to connect to the top of the lever by the white thing (5:10). Connect the small Bead Chain Eyelet Connector (part 25 on the parts list in the installation manual) to the Bead Chain (part 20) Use the Bead Chain Coupler (part 24) and connect the Bead Chain to the Servo Cable Ball (you'll more than likely need to trim the Bead Chain to length; it's better to not trim enough than to trim too much. Keep in mind that there is a threaded section and nuts on the end of the Servo Cable housing to make adjustments there.
To secure the servo cable housing, there is a white piece of plastic clipped to the parking brake bracket; unclip it from the bracket. The hole that it was clipped into is the perfect size and placement for the non-flat piece of the Adjustable Cable Mounting Bracket Assy (part 16). Use the (if I recall correctly) the M5 Phillips Hex Head Bolt with Hex Nut (part 35) to bolt the ACMBA (part 16) to the parking brake bracket.

I hope this helps (at least more so than the Installation Manual provided). Please rate and comment!

  • @gcend Haha, a mickey mouse job. Cute.

Make a better one and post it.

  • will this work for the v6 3.0?

  • Not sure. The CC unit is universal, so it probably will. You'll probably need to change a few settings on the unit to get it to work right.

  • Hello where did u get this kit
