  • I cannot like this video enough. I was a little unsure about three-point lighting, but I guess you could say you "shed some light" on my confusion. :D

  • This way of lighting is great if you are shooting corporate videos or talking head documentaries, but in terms of narrative story telling, I feel it's too theatrical and there for should rarely be used. I would suggest learning how to replicate motivated sources ie light coming through windows and available house hold practicals. Natural light rarely does what we want, so knowing how to place and block your actors is extremely helpful. Ellen Kuras, ASC does a great job using this style in "Eter
