This video includes a reading of the poem 'In Flanders Fields' by Lt. Col. John McCrae and the well known excerpt from the poem 'For the Fallen' by Laurence Binyon.

The voiceover was performed by good friend and actor Michael Haynes (michaelhaynes.name).

The music is 'Abide with Me' and 'Sunset'.

  • this is an excelent tribute to those who fell im glad that there are so many of these videos we shall not forget them

  • Peterwilliams6 I get the same feeling nice vid I'm crying

  • Fantastic reading of the poem, lovely images as well.

  • Have loved both of these poems since i was young. Laurence Binyon's verse is often heard, not so much John McCrae's. McCrae was, I believe, a medical officer working in a dug out during the battle of Ypres.

    May we never ever forget.

  • They sacrificed their lives so that we can live and be free.

    They are heros. Honour them.

  • what is it about WW1 that stirs one's emotions so? It is like empathizing with those that were there. If I ever had an argument for reincarnation this would be it. The intense pathos I feel whenever I experience any WW1 site or film has to have a reason somewhere. I do not experience the same inner turmoil with WW2 sites. Anybody else get the same disturbing feeling?

  • Lest we forget theirs and ours, and ours and theirs' between the stares of ours and theirs lest we forget our time' that's theirs!

  • superb video.

    we will remember them

  • One of the most moving renditions of Flanders Fields
