We wouldn't accept this excuse for a husband beating his wife. "She rejected my rule!"
It's an unacceptable justification for an immoral action.

@Justinfh2point0 God is not fucked up. if you actually took time to understand events and respected the God of the bible, you'd realize that.

The book is great!!!!!!!!!! You, Mike, rock!
-
WOW! I never realized that Moses was as fucked up as his god.

So these stories are in The Bible? Do you know any stories that were in older Bibles but now taken out?
-
Yep, you're a nutball.

Don't you think that logic is a bit thin? Everybody knows the Christian Bible includes BOTH the Old Testament AND the New Testament. The New Testament is so much a part of the Old that it included over 100 portions of the Old Testament.

You have made an unreasonable parallel by commenting on how the Exodus story was portrayed in the film with regards to the actual story in the Bible. The fact that the film did not correlate entirely with the Bible passage has nothing to do with the morality of the passage itself. God was justified in any action which he took against the Israelites because they had rejected his rule, they deserved death. It was only from his mercy that he spared so many when they all deserved death!
Interesting...

Thank you very much. There are 47 chapters in all. I'll try to post a new chapter every couple of days. So this should go on for at least the next couple of months. Hope you find it entertaining and enlightening.

Very cool! I love how they changed all that stuff for the movie, I had no idea until I heard this (had never seen the movie, believe it or not).
Makes me wonder if the makers of this movie actually believe in this stuff.. I mean, how seriously do they take their holy book when they change it like this as soon as they see stuff they don't like.
Thanks a lot for this series, looking forwards to future chapters!

Yeah, it's one thing to leaves facts out, it quite another to fabricate events so as to tell a story that isn't really there. And that's exactly what the movie does, and people just lap it up. It's really quite appalling, I think.
