Girl Scouts Beyond Bars

In eastern Oklahoma, Girl Scouts Beyond Bars is developing project by project. Project M.E.N.D. (Mothers Encouraging and Nurturing their Daughters) is a statewide Girl Scouts Beyond Bars program providing life-changing skills for families in five Oklahoma correctional facilities. Project Reconnect is a new re-entry component which is a year-long pilot program helping offenders transition from prison into their community with family-oriented programming conducted by Girl Scouts. Both programs are part of a national Girl Scout outreach called Girl Scouts Beyond Bars.
