It doesn't have the best graphics, nor gameplay... but it has something that very, VERY few games have, it has a soul !

i can't get this to work on windows xp, it crashes as soon as i start the game. HELP PLEASE!

I'm not all that good with technical details and computery stuff, and as much as I'd like to help you, I couldn't give any advice I'd feel confident about giving.
But if I really had to guess, it'd probably be something about the graphics card. Again, note that I'm horrible when it comes to technical stuff, and that the chances of me being wrong are pretty high.
