One of the main arguments is that the RNC isn't as inclusive as the Dems, and by the pick of Blackwell or Steele, it would look as if they picked them only because they are black. He would, but so would Steele and Saltsman.
If I had to choose I would probably go with the guy who has the most experience and still has clear conservative credentials. Blackwell for the win!
