FROM THE AXIOM TUTORIAL - Jeff Dykhouse demonstrates the power and flexibility of the Axiom 61 advanced 61-key USB mobile MIDI controller. This cool tool has semi-weighted action and assignable aftertouch. The eight rubberized trigger pads are ideal for creating drum tracks and firing samples. Nine sliders and eight endless rotary encoder knobs put you in total control of your software studio. There are also 15 MIDI-assignable buttons—including six transport controls—assignable wheels, foot pedals and more. Jeff shows us how to program the Axiom Programming utilizing the free Enigma editor/librarian software, in addition to Reason, GarageBand, Ableton LIVE and ProTools.

  • @famgee Are you having problems mapping the Encoder Knobs in Ableton? Because I am too, Ive had my Axiom for a while, and have everything working how I like... besides the Encoder Knobs.

When I assign my Rotary Encoders to any parameter in Ableton Live (pan, volume, instruments, etc) the parameter value ALWAYS jumps back to its original position as I turn the encoder. This happens no matter how quickly, or slowly I turn the encoder, and changing the Acceleration curve doesn’t help. HELP?!

  • what's the name of the web page? the web page where you can download enigma?!!!!

  • Is enigma all synths?? or does it have various sounds like drums, basslines, piano, guitar sounds, etc. Would anyone know where to download something like this thats compatible with m-audio axiom 61??

  • Is Enigma is Windows only? I see that your on a Mac. Why is there only option for PC on M-Audio's website.

  • Hey, I am using Fl Studio 10 and my trigger pads just won't work, Fl Studio just won't recognize them. I tried this (Enigma) and it says the settings can't be changed cause it's on read-only. So I don't know what to do. One thing I know is, my trigger pads has worked some times. Any help ?

  • 1st problem i have is that it keeps saying axiom 25 cant be changed off defualt settings cuz its on read only? anyone help with this?

  • @dekzan

I don't understand what you mean. If you are asking if it comes with built in sounds. Absolutely not. It's a midi controller meaning there is no way to get sound if there isn't an external instrument connected.

  • question...all i wanna do is use the record and play and all that buttons on the keyboard. how can i do that? it doesnt wanna play the game

  • Is it possible to play the Axiom out of the box only with presets without having to assign anything? Which pianos/organs are available, if any ? Or am I going to jave to download software, drives and assign stuff? Thanks.

  • I have a Axiom 61 KB...and what I'm tryin to do is....assign a button to do note repeat..so that when I play my pads...I can do some mpc stuff like drum rolls and stuff like that , help me?.....Can I assign a parameter in the enigma software???
