Idearc Media, which exited bankruptcy on Dec. 31, has changed its name to SuperMedia LLC, as part of an effort to start on a fresh course post-bankruptcy. The restructured company now trades on the NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol SPMD.

What about big bonuses to executives when the earnings and company profits dropping like a rock?

-Questions remain unanswered regarding the culpability of Verizon for the bankruptcy.
-Concerns over print yellow pages decline also impact the companies future.
-Consumers want an OPT IN yellow pages distribution, yet print publishers want to offer OPT OUT, yet refuse to accept OPT OUT requests from other sources.

  • EveryCarListed is a pretty good service. The on-line products Idearc (Supermedia) promotes show maximum click through rates in a lot of cases but the business owners at times do not reap the benefits. Y.P. used to be a safe bet. Used to be.

So, Supermedia plays catch up with the Superguarantee and Superpages, etc. while Google offers free business profile pages and websites. Okay.

Were they issued black and purple Nike high tops with those capes?

  • @SergeantPeckers Not sure. Those caps are not earned, they are handed out by SuperMedia. To become a hero, you must first think like a hero. A hero does not think about himself first. SuperMedia's CEO has put himself before shareholders, investors, and employees. Company just emerged from a questionable bankruptcy and the CEO gave himself Millions and Millions while revenues decline quickly!
