Maytag STILL Sucks! I Can't Get No Satisfaction!!!

It's about a year after I posted the first Maytag Sucks video and after having repair people come out on 4 or 5 occasions now, the refrigerator is still frosting up like nothing I've ever seen before this Maytag refrigerator we bough 5 or 6 years ago. I could see people saying, "Well, it's 6 years old." It started doing this right after we bought it and we've been calling them to fix it almost every year since we bought it. Not only that, but what ever happened to buying a kitchen appliance and it lasting for 20 + years? I know that they don't build them like they used to but this is ridiculous. They build in life expectancies into them and in my opinion, that's no way to build trust and good client relationships. Greed is killing quality products these days. I say "Stop Building Life Expectancies Into American Products." American companies need to start taking pride in their products, be it Maytag or even car manufacturers. Enough is enough. Stop building shoddy products big American Corporations. Thanks to you, our country is not #1 anymore because of your greed and the practice of building life expectancies into products...

HOLLY CRAP the same thing happened to our freezer and our freezer is also loaded with popsicles. My Mom thinks that someone keeps leaving the door open.

You know Dan, I've found from the repair man that it can be caused by the seal around the freezer door needing to be changed. But there is also a defrosting mechanism that (several times a day) actually shuts off the cold air and for a short time, sends bursts of warm air into the freezer to (supposedly) try to keep the freezer from frosting up. I don't know, this is the 5th time we've had them out to work on the stupid thing. Pissing me off. Grrrrr. That's me getting mad. LOL...

You are leaving the freezer door open slightly when it frosts up like that. Nothing else can cause it if it works fine for a while then all at one time its heavilly frosted. Its very common with these, mostly because the design of the baskets and the door shelf, The door will not close fully if its overloaded and something is in the way which you may not realize at the time. There is nothing wrong with the compressor if its frosting up becaue obviously the compressor is running if it is cooling.

their dishwashers aren't much better. Control boards stop working in a little over a year creating a dishwasher that will not run.

I've been an appliance repairman for almost 30 years, and PEOPLE WILL NOT ACCEPT THE FACT THAT MAYTAG IS CRAP! Maytag USED TO BE THE BEST. But ever since about 1987, they made nothing but JUNK in my humble opinion...

@bossyboo29 he laugh and said this always happens with this refridge. I wounder if we could get a recall goining because i feel BAD if some one dosen't have a warrenty it cost 400 with the warrenty that tey picked up BUT if I didn't have on it would have been $875 NOT RIGHT !!!!

@bossyboo29 we bought ours in 2006 it is a bottom freezer the same thing happened to us we also have a warrenty for it in sept 2010 it would freeze than thaw and look like what you have it also make a weird sound I called the repair man and he knew that it was the compressor Maytage used the cheapest compressor they could get a hold of its UNI(something I cant remember) so he was suppose to help someone else with a call and could not :
