A look into the "HOW" of the Occupy Wall Street movement: The consensus process.

The community of occupiers at Liberty Plaza have sparked the process of building a movement that now transcends any one physical landmark. The tools to keep the movement alive belong to all of us.

Created by the Meerkat Media Collective. For the last 6 years we've been using consensus decision making in our filmmaking process - http://meerkatmedia.org

I think there should be a movie to simply explain the movement, the methods they use and the progress so far in the debate. If this is done then it should be with emphasis that this is just a work in progress and needs to be improved a lot more before it can really come around.

Keep the talking going for long enough and the goal will be attained. There are two ways of failing enlightenment (as in success), not starting and not completing the journey. This occupy movement could be that journey.

I don't doubt that there are unsettling totalitarian aspects to the recent political changes in the Middle East, but neither do I doubt the sincerity of the more liberal voices. As someone who has lived in a country during its move toward democracy and freedom, I understand that things don't always go as planned. Whatever is happening in the Middle East, it is far more serious than a bunch of whinging college kids.

Republic means 100% of our civilians gets to live the way they choose to.

Democracy means 80% common consensus, collective, Borg. Im watching the crusifixion of my Independent Country.

This is not "consensus". This is "dictation". People mindlessly repeating what a speaker is telling them to say. How can people take you seriously when you display such irony?

I think he believes that the 60's anti-war movement wasn't a self-indulgent waste of time. Perhaps he even subscribes to the insulting notion that a bunch of entitled college kids complaining about how bad they have it, is somehow comparable to people fighting for freedom in the Middle East.
