Great stuff :) I had HO as a kid because a hobby store told my dad that N gauge would be too small for kids. Obviously not the case!

@mrfifer Of course it helps to have a huge layout, I'm working on an N layout with 2 loops, one goes up in the back and drops down in the front, the other has a depot and one switch. If we had room, a big layout would be great, but we don't!
