I have 18inch disc Stingray my pride and joy (Stingy), 24" Redtail cat (Killer Bowkey) ,24" silver Arowana (Grumpy), 14" MBU Puffer (Bubber), 18" Polypterus (Nessey), 12" pangasius (Pangy), 11" Sevron (Perky), And a 1 and half inch Glass fish (super fish) thats been in the tank with the monsters for 10 months now. And all get on really really well with each other (touch wood)...

  • Guys this is now my old tank, iv got my hands on a fantastic 8x3x3 tank ,and wow what a difference. Never thought i would be able to fit it into my little 2bed terrace house, but its safely in and looking good, yay...

  • Im planning to make a H72" X W24" X H32" glass tank for discus only. Can u please let me know if the dimension is correct and what will be the glass thickness....?

    Thanx!

  • You do mean 72 inch long and not high as you have put? A tank that nearly has a 3ft depth really needs extra bracing ie lorry straps at the very top and at the very bottom as the taller you go the more pressure the water will force at the bottom of your tank putting great forces son the silicon seams. As for the glass thickness 12mm will be good.

  • do you do water changes often i have a 180 gallon tank with wet/dry trickle filter oceanic

  • Hi there, yes I like to keep up with twice weekly water changes of about 25% drop each time...

  • I use the fx5 too and the white filter pad cloggs fast. The blues are not that bad. I use lots of bio media, balls, ceramic rings, and the ehime lookin things. Great filter on a heavily planted and heavily stocked 130 tank.

  • Yes, you have to love how good the FX5 is. After using two 304s on my tank before i had to keep all ways have to clean them out, but my FX5 just keeps on going, FANTASTIC...
