which was inside Anna Nicole's bedroom in the Bahamas, contained methadone (5 mg per 5 ml). The small refrigerator contained cans of Slim-Fast-- ironic, since Smith was TRIMSPA's spokesperson. Several bottles of TRIMSPA sat right next to the fridge.

The fridge also contained Miracle 2000 (marketed as a nutritional supplement for "today's active lifestyle"), French's Worcestershire Sauce, yogurt and spray butter. It also appears there are vials of injectable medicines.

The methadone is compelling, as Smith's son Daniel died from a combination of drugs that included methadone. Law enforcement sources in the Bahamas tell TMZ that at least one witness has come forward and said Howard K. Stern supplied Daniel with methadone just before he died, and flushed the remaining stash down the toilet. That witness is expected to testify next month at the coroner's inquest into Daniel's death.

Now Stern is placed in the same home with another stash of methadone -- the home he shared with Smith.

TMZ has confirmed that law enforcement in the Bahamas is aware of the contents of the refrigerator.

@royalnaz1 unless you are an addict of Heroin or Methadone, then to take Methadone is dangerous and can kill, this why you start on a low dose and increase until you are stable, but then you are now addicted to Methadone, which is just as hard, if not harder than Heroin to come off. When you take Meth everyday it does give you a nice warm feeling like Heroin, but its safer to take and cleaner than taking Heroin. It can really help to make a now ex addicts life stable.

It's too dangerous to try. A small amount of methadone can kill even a seasoned addict. When you sign up with a clinic you sign a paper acknowledging that you may die early in the treatment.

I believe that Alcohol is the worst drug because they got these really swank clubs where you can go to get it and then you have to drive back home. I used Opiates to quit Alcohol and now I can't even drink one complete malt power drinks, but I can go to those clubs on Methadone and enjoy my self and drive my friends safely home.

@norduffe propoxaphene might be chemically derived from Methadone in a way, but these 2 are totally unrelated. The reason Darvocet was banned is because its no good. Patients are given this and wind up overdosing on the other ingredients in it, like tylenol, aspirin, or ibuprofen. This is because they take more of it after not getting any relief.Then it also boosts other drugs and causes overdoses.

Methadone itself is a long acting drug. the liquid and pill form act identical. It is stored in the liver and released over a 24+ hour period. The ingredients of the pill and liquid have absolutely nothing to do with the delivery of it. There is NO "time release gel" like u said.. It cannot be made to be short acting and this is why it works well.

@jStevieO you are partly right. Methadone was created by the Nazis because we stopped their morphine supply so their troops feared being wounded in combat with no relief. "Heroin" was introduced as a cure for Morphine addiction by Bayer in like 1903. Then was banned in the USA because its so addictive. It continues to be sold under other names in the UK, etc.. as brands of diacetylmorphine. This drug has absolutely destroyed millions of lives.
