Muhammad Ali Shehki is a Pakistani pop singer of Iranian descent.
Along with Alamgir, he set the trend of pop music in Pakistan. When he started his career, he was a young energetic student of NED University at Karachi, Pakistan. He is still loved by people for his contribution to music and his charming personality.
His voice quality was thought to be much better than many other hit singers but he was not able to find good compositions at his peak time. His first song "Pyar kia mai ne dil diya" produced by Ghazanfer Ali was a big hit of its time. He then sang the famous patriotic song "Main bhi Pakistan ho" which is reffered to as the most famous national song ever. Then Shehki produced another hit song "Allah Allah ker bhaiya" along with Allan Fakeer. This song beat all previous hit records in Pakistan and surpassed all other Pakistani songs abroad as well. He also sang "Meray bachpan kay din" alongside Afshan Ahmed. Shehki has performed in almost all types of genre's like classical, semi classical, pop and jazz as well

Mahjabeen is a pashto singer and most of songs by her are in Pashto language
she played roles in Peshawar Television Pashto Dramas and was Heroine in a Pashto movie named "Mamonai". The movie was produced in the early 1970s. Aymal Khan was Hero in that movie. Later on Mahjabin married him. While Aymal Khan continued to play roles in Pashto movies [e.g., Deedan, Baghi, Khana Badoosh, Jawargar] from then on, Mahjabina stopped working in movies. Aymal Khan died in late 1980s for some unknown reasons. Mahjabina then married Aymal Khan's brother.

Their pronunciations are amazingly good for Pakistanis attempting to recit Farsi.

And Shehki's voice is great.

both ve farsi and deri as mother tongue :)

Shehki is of iranian descent.

and Mehjabeen is also Deri and pashto speaking..so there shdnt be any problem with accent

Yes, the Qizilbash (alternative spelling) are of Turkish-Iranian descent, so they speak Farsi and Dari. But Shehki's pronunciation has the edge here.

Beautiful. Thank you for this poem. Iqbal - the heir of the Islamic civilization of Hindustan - the heir of Khurasani civilization - Persianate civilsation of that whole art of the wold - extending from Bengal to Khiva to Istanbul. Thank you for this. It is a great shame that after Pakistan was mortgaged to Saudi Arabia by Zia Ul Haq - Persian language was removed from the national educational curriculum of Pakistan. Pakistan needs to get back to the ideal vision of Iqbal if it is to survive.

Great upload. Mahjabin could speak 6 languages and you would never figure out if even ONE word was below the standard... She could speak Pashto like any Pashtoon, Farsi like iranians, Urdu like any Pakistani, dari like afghani, Turkish and more.... Shehki too was a gerat star of his time... dont know where have these people gone? well done tauseef...

whom do you mean are pakhtoons? Qazalbash or Shehki?

In fact qazalbash isTurks and shehki is irani arab. Shehki cannot be pakhtoon. Where and when any body heard this...

Extremely non sense comment. I don't know who are you? but I must correct for all the viewer that FARSI, DARI OR TAJIKI all are one language with same history. From Rodaki Samarqandi to Firdousi, Sa'di, Khiam, Jami, Hafiz Sherazi, Amir Khusro to Iqbal Lahori and in the recent past all the poets and writers of Iran, Afghanistan and the sub continent are read by all the people, either they call their language name whatsoever....FARSI, DARI OR TAJIKI...

This song and language is NOT FARSI or PERSIAN. This is the Afghan Dari language. There are NO "W" sounds in Iranian Farsi/Persian. Farsi and Dari are two different languages with different histories. It's fine to compliment their work but it's important to know what the work actually is. Chances are they'd find it very difficult to sing in actual Iranian Farsi as that is a language that I speak. Merci az ahange khoob.

She is a legend. She speaks Panjabi and Hindko too and has also sung in Balochi and Seraiki. And look at how beautiful she is. Such a memorable song!
