A personal review of Lowepro Vertex 200AW.
Note: I tend to review each of the products I purchased twice, once when new and once after extensive use. I think this will give people a bit more insight to how this bag performs under 'real' usage.
I use this bag for travel and oversea assignments. It cannot be fault in terms of construction and flexibility. I think this bag is a tad heavy (there are a few bags out there that are lighter these days) but in 2007, it was definitely one of the best!
good review but once again, can't seem to find anyone who actually demos how the bag gets strapped on then accessing equipment etc. All online demos show the bag flat on table tops or similar.

@revup67 Thanks for the comment. Yes I understand and unfortunately, I've sold the backpack in exchange to a lighter Kata Bumblebee. This is a great backpack and don't get me wrong, it's durable and very well made but for my use, I need a lighter bag. I am trying to answer you question however, you can't really access your equipment unless you put your pack down on the floor because this is how it was designed. Unlike the flipside or sling bag, which you can swing it to the front and access.

He doesn't show the bag loaded - what it will actually carry - what's up with that?

@Oculus729 thanks, there isn't much point to load the bag really, everyone is different and have different setup. If you are interested, I used to carry the following:
1xCanon EOS 5D with grip and 70-200 f/2.8L IS attached, 1x580EXII flash, 1x 24-70mm f/2.8L, 1x 16-30mm f/2.8L II, 1x 50mm 1.4, 1x 100mm f2.8 Macro, 1xCanon EOS 1v body, batteries, memory cards and some films.
If that helps.

Nice review! Many people had gone for the Lowepro Flipside 400AW over this Vertex 200AW or the 100AW and 300AW, as the former seem to get talked and used more. What makes you buy the Vertex instead of Flipside, especially when Flipside is lighter than Vertex?

@cuspess Hi there, thanks for watching. Flipside is good in its own ways. The best feature is the secure storage and you don't have to take down the backpack to get your gear. However, I've tried it with my stuff and it was way too heavy to do the 'flip' thing at front. I still had to put it down and access my stuff.
So, Vertex does what flipside does, without some security features. But it does better in terms of storage, it offers way more room then flipside and has a laptop compartment.
