Just me with a little gunning action that I was lucky was caught on film. There are also some stills near the end shot by many of my brothers.

  • training?

  • Dude this is Iraq

  • So? The basic design of this mortar goes all the way back to 1917 or so- I can't quite remember back that far.

The heat sink on the bottom with all the fins is nice to prevent breech explosions from ammo cookoff.

The aluminum baseplate is a HELL of a lot lighter than the cast iron bastards we had.

The tube is still a pain in the ass- or can it be broken down into 2 pieces for transport?

  • This Mortar system is a 120mm so it is usually mounted on M113s that are equipped as Mortar tracks. They have a rotary base plate system that can be used to adjust for deflection and elevation much easier than a ground mounted unit.

The base plate is about the heaviest part of the system and takes 2-3 people to move easily.

The tube itself can be moved easily by 2 people but some people are dumb enough to pick one up on their own.

The 120mm Mortars weigh about 35 pounds each.

  • Im gonna be going to meps in 2 weeks and enlisting under 11x. How was your expierance?

  • @SPARTAN1T

Infantry is good if you want to build your character. Just stay away from the political bullshit if you can help it.

  • Nice video, what did you actually shoot at?

  • 0:50, just look at that dust. Terrible equipment killer.

  • Yea the sand over there is like powdered sugar for real. That stuff will kick up and dick up your gun quick! Not that ive been there. But the sand different than most people think.

  • Smokin!!!!!!! Love the muzzle flash and seeing the round come out at 1:10.

  • dusty thanks for serving our countrty i apreciate it how long were you in

  • Thank you for your service!

  • @coldpawofthefurs oh thanks. I just realized.

  • @Awesomeduud 11 C is a fun job but you don't get to pick it, and it's not easy. They choose 11 C's from 11 X's based on scores from your ASVAB test that you take before enlisting.

  • BTW are you guys shooting at live targets?

  • Is 11C a nice job? I'm thinking of being one or a Cavalry Scout
