This is simple.
Zack is cutting, remember that? Well, he's hanging out with Rikku and all then goes to the bathroom to be a whiny little bitch and all.
He gets sad, he cuts.
Because he's a SOLDIER, the Mako in his system heals him pretty quickly.
Of course, this time, he was lazy and cut a little too deep.
Rikku notices said cut and confronts him about it. Being his sassy straight best friend. :3
Then Zack asks that Rikku doesn't tell Angeal. Rikku promises, only if Zack will try to stop cutting.

This part hasn't been roleplayed yet. But I thought I'd get it out there. xD
