In this episode of Two Clicks Out, Dave Moss continues with a WERA expert racer, Aaron Ascher #312, at the Las Vegas Classic course. Earlier they made changes that solved some front end problems, but then Aaron proceeded to destroy a fresh rear tire in 10 laps. What to do now?

  • Hi Dave. In a previous episode you said that when looking at the wear of the REAR tire the right side is for gas, and the left for survival. What does this mean exactly?

  • @khyoon14 in breaking a track down by design based on rotation, tracks lend themselves to right or left turns being fast, right or left turns being technical/slow requiring slow roll on. In this instance with this track, right hand turns were full throttle exits, lefts were maintenance throttle or slow roll ons.

  • Hi Dave, Thank`s for you replay, next track day for us i at Alcaras (Spain) 26-29 Marts with Prospeed.de

  • @OnTheThrottleTV Thanks Dave, you're the best.

  • @cougz82 with these race DOT tires you can run them in either direction. This is true of many race tires, slicks or DOTs. To be race legal, all race DOT must have correct side wall information including directional arrow.
