  • if those are black belts, they cant do shit, i'm green and still can do better

  • let's see what you got.

  • If that's kajukenbo, it's a crappy version of it. That guy in the blue seems to enjoy getting hit in the face from the way he keeps his hands so low.

Oh well, at least in these tournaments, it looks like punching to the face is allowed--that's better than alot of other point-fighting tournaments.

  • The smaller guy is Kajukenbo vs. a bigger Taekwondo guy. Groin and face are legal targets.

  • im confused by MMA guys saying shit about Kaju. Kajukenbo is the original MMA. hence the name..KArate JUdo/jujitsu KENpo BOxing. though its not muay thai/bjj, its still effective. it helped clean up the streets of an entire island chain. MMA cant say its done anything outside the ring except help thugs fight better.

  • Looking at low level practioners on YouTube is not the best way to learn about Kajukenbo. The premise of Kaju is not to fight- but to either leave the scene or strike first with multiple strikes until your opponent is completely incapacitated to the point of broken bones, joints and/or unconsciousness. Kajukenbo is not a fight with rules or fairness - it is street fighting not TV MMA The moves you call useless are part of the rain of pain you would get before you even know the fight has begun

  • What the hell? I can't tell the difference between which art is which. haha.

  • Kajukenbo is the shit, all respect to taekwondo I used to take taekwondo but I wanted something more... lets say something more intense and MMA style Kajukenbo gave me what i needed

  • @violentbuddha I completely agree with you

  • @violentbuddha

Thanks! I really did want to know (I know I could have found out myself, but this was easier)

  • @KanzlerM yeah. Kaju sprung up in Oahu in the late 1940s when post-WWII Hawaii had a huge mix of Chinese, Japanese and Americans. Several got together and worked to combine the best of their different styles.

Jun Fan JKD was founded by Bruce Lee in the 1960s. He had been forming it for some time before that but he was only 9 when the first Kaju group (the Black Belt Society) opened its doors in 1949.

  • @lennyt47 crappy advanced kicking, no balance, not extended, lean a lot, slow... you need more??????????????

  • @violentbuddha

Is Kajukenbo older than Jeet Kune Do / Jun Fan (sorry if I spelled those wrong)

  • Point sparring often leads to sloppy techniques that just barely make contact to get a point. Ideally it's supposed to be the whole "one shot" end for a fight, but it always ends up looking sloppy. Point sparring is for those who don't like full contact full 3 min rounds no stopping at points. Point Sparring=good for kids.
