This is a one-of-a-kind steam-powered motorcycle, built in 1912 by a Mr. Gilligan, of Sacramento, California. It is now owned by Ed Zelinsky and displayed at his wonderful Musée Mécanique, on Pier 45 in San Francisco. The motorcycle is beautifully designed and made, and is in perfect condition and theoretically functional, although it hasn't been used for some time.

  • Where was this displayed? I'd love to see it in person!

  • It's at the Musee Mecanique, on Pier 45 in San Francisco (right at the end of Fisherman's Wharf). They're open every day of the year (AFAIK), and entrance is free.
