Agreed! In a purely economic model, this is the BEST thing to do. It introduces efficiency into the system, allowing for more consumption of goods w/o requiring the expense of any more capital/goods.

I went dumpster diving at a Panara Bread and found 47 bagaels,11 loves of bread, and 17 muffins .The best time to go is at night or really early to get there before the trash man..

I went diving at panera, DD, and a local bagel shop on wednesday and I didn't find jack shit. Just coffee filters, napkins, boxes and things like that. Is there a certain day or time what you should go?

Needy families over seas need a good, healthy capitalist system so they can (stay with me here) EARN A LIVING. The liberal guilt thing you are pushing ("oh, we are consuming SO much and wasting SO much") is a cover for being a LOSER. Shut the hell up, get your head out of the garbage can and try and be a productive, non-guilt-ridden, pround American.

Proud American? Are you kidding? What do you mean by that? I do earn a living. I'm a website developer, land investor, writer. If you dumpster dived you'd save a ton of money and be able to use that money for some cool cause. What's your problem?
