Consumer experience is a best way to tell the truth about product. The new "Be Confident, Use Gasohol" TVC series from Thailand's Ministry of Energy utilized 'testimonial' approach to build trust and positive perception on locally produced gasohol (bio-ethanol) among viewers, a sequel of previous catchy TVC series with the theme "Be More Reasonable, Stop Blaming Gasohol for all the Troubles".
While the first phase of Thai Ministry of Energy's campaign to promote gasohol as alternative fuel aimed to diminish people's incorrect, preoccupied prejudice on locally produced gasohol, the second phase campaign suggests the quality of gasohol as perceived by consumers. Their confidence can help build trust among people inexperienced with gasohol. The new TVC series comprise Hua Hin Gang, Foreigner, Auto Technician and Policeman and targeted female motorists, owners of new cars and expensive cars, as well as auto service technicians and car/motorcycle dealers. The scenarios include a group of young women talking about their experience on using gasohol, an expatriate describing his trust on gasohol as an internationally accepted alternative energy, a police officer and an auto technician confirming on the quality of gasohol.
The 30-second "Be Confident, Use Gasohol" TVC series, created by Ogilvy & Mather Thailand, first aired on August 10, 2007.
I always filled up my scooter with gasohol when I was on holidays in Thailand.
A Thai woman told me not too, but you know me, I stick to my guns, otherwise the girl disrespects if you always follow what she says. Good economy for long journeys. It's not like a scooter has a super high compression ratio or anything, I was just putting about on it, its not Valentino's race bike after all. In any case, alcohol adds octane rating.
