  • Good stuff. I filmed the old beast at Waddington last year, what a treat that was. I'll be at Duxford in September...here's hoping for good weather and serviceability!

    Mmmm tasty engine sound there!

  • british weather and vulcan serviceability... which is the more reliable??? hehe!!

  • this vid really really doesnt give the jet much justice,,,just saw this at southport airshow yesterday and the noise was almost too much to bear,,the howl of those engines as it does a flyby is something everyone should hear,,loudest thing ive ever heard

  • First video of about 10 that demos how loud Vulcan engines are--godawful sky-filling scream. Bravo. Too bad the one at Merced, CA, air museum can't be started up just for that memorable noise.

  • B****Y H**L!!! I would have loved being there just to experience the HOWL once more.

    Awesome.

  • Brings tears to my eyes every time.

  • He was telling a porky when he said no more Vulcan displays. We`ve been lucky enough to see her three times at the Bournemouth Air Festival thats just been. The Vulcan is a truely amazing jet. :-)

  • The engines sound great, but I don't believe he really gave it much throttle. Mind you, one of the engines had only just been put back in that week so he was probably being gentle with it.

  • Sounds wicked

  • Wow, I still remember how it felt the first time this flew over my head at Biggin Hill all those years ago...

My ribcage was shaking, and car alarms were going off all over the place too.

I missed it there this year, really pissed off about it.

  • The power from those engines make you throw your head to the ground
