point out which part isn't English?, and for that matter I declare myself Scottish, dont even start the pointless arguements I asked a question, you'd be far better privately tutoring earning at least 10-25 pounds an hour, I'd use that to get a descent accordion book, learn some beoga, organise some sessions

@BigRyanDoc8070 Yes, I can play a triplet. I can also write an English sentence, something that is apparently beyond your abilities. :-)

Thanks for the input. It seems to work for me but as a beginner I was concerned that this in some way be a bad habit down the line. Thanks again. Though I play a B/C I find your video's the most helpful input I have come across.

@whistleboy35 At least there are books and DVD tutors for the B/C system - nothing for C#/D that I am aware of. Have you tried Damien Connolly's Irish Accordion Tutor for B/C (book / DVD package)? I'd recommend that.

Great Lesson, Many thanks for taking the time to share with others your expertise. I do have a question. Do you ever slide your finger from one button over to the next? Is this good form or something to avoid?

@whistleboy35 I'm glad if this is any help to you at all. "Expertise" is being generous though, I'm just two steps ahead of my students... As for sliding, yes I do this quite a lot. For instance in this clip you can see me sliding frequently from G to F# on the outer row with the middle finger. I'm told that some great players who teach think it is indeed bad form. But I know great players who teach who recommend it. I find it very useful. Up to you. :-)
