"Farm the Best, Conserve the Rest"

"Farm the Best, Conserve the Rest" - was created by Ducks Unlimited to relate the importance of funding conservation projects throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and it aims to inform landowners of the federal Farm Bill conservation programs available to them. The content is focused on protecting, restoring, and enhancing habitat on marginal agricultural lands, and it encourages landowners to contact Ducks Unlimited for more information about restoring and protecting their own property.

"The value of wetlands is unquestionable. They provide social and economic value, as well as recreational activities," said Grace Bottitta, manager of conservation programs for DU's Mid-Atlantic Field Office in Annapolis. "By preserving natural resources, we're helping to maintain our nation's long- term economic stability."




DU hopes that this message will help further spread the importance wetland conservation to not only waterfowl but to our daily lives.
