  • Little tip for those using CS5 and newer. You can use the "Page Tool" to create things like flaps and spines as separate but connected pages to your current page. No longer must you work it in to the initial page like was done here! So, a nice time saver!

  • @TalesOfWar Thanks for the CS5 tip!

  • I've never used this program before, I just installed it and I wanted to learn and this tutorial wasn't helpful at all, how did you made the template, the colors, the text and so on ?

  • @vasssilyzaitsev The tutorial is labeled advanced because we don't cover the basics here. I offer tutorials for all levels, this one is for advanced users. We will cover more basic steps like the ones you listed in future episodes.

  • what program is this?

  • @KroatianBOInigga Adobe InDesign

  • I'm a little desperate, but I am skilled in graphic design work. Do you know of anyone who's hiring?

  • why should I use Adobe indesign when making a book cover and not Photoshop or Illustrator

  • I still have no clue how to stick pages to the spine of a book.

  • Hi Nicki - thanks for this video - I have found it really helpful as well as others in your selection. Is there any way you can do a tutorial on how to create images like the black smoke you use on your example? Louise

  • in what program

  • great...

  • @m0n4c3

I find to like your comments and I also like to add one more line "Please appreciate and thanks for what it is."

  • @Dbkit This is most likely for a paperback book that doesn't have flaps :)
