Stellar performance nerd. Millions can play parts of eruption but few I've seen can do it justice like that. No matter how talented, it just takes too many hours of focused practice to play it at that lvl. That's really why , looking back, Ed stormed the scene so big-time. He was absolutely insanely good by the time he put out that first album at only 21. That boy must not have ever done a lick of homework.

Woah
i know you haven't really posted any vids in need of it but would you recommend the phase 90 for ed's clean tone on the albums or go ahead and get a chorus pedal?

@Sean2592 MXR EVH Phase 90 (a must have!) technically he really only used it on the solos and was pretty clean the rest of the time. I tend to over use it because the MXR EVH Phase 90 has a script button that really subdues the phase.

Ednerd, I swear, I've seen you somewhere before. I believe I saw you smashing a similar looking guitar. Does that sound accurate?

Awesome! Can you tell me what you are playing thru for effects, Scott

@scottguenard Marshall MGHDFX built in overdrive, delay and reverb. also using the MXR EVH phase 90. that's pretty much it. I do use an MXR smart gate to cut the noise a little.
