1 Month Dreadlock Update

It's been 5 weeks, and I'm here for my first loc update. I filmed this video a few hours after getting my hair retwisted at the hair salon. One month loc'd...and still going!

How long was your hair when you locked up?

@NtrlBlackLezboBeauty 3 inches in the shortest areas, 6 inches in the longest..most of it was closer to 6 inches.

@juniwilliams That's totally up to you. When I was going to a loctician, I got them retwisted every 5-6 weeks (for financial reasons), but now that I do them myself, I do it once a week. Some people say not to do it that often, but I believe that as long as you're not twisting them too tightly, it's perfectly fine.

I REALLY appreciate what you said about people starting out with dreads. I've hade mine for a month, 2 months next week. && they arnt that short., im used to having long hair && sometimes my dreads make me feel like a boy. so its like i cant waite for them to get longer. i'm going to try to buy some scarves like you do. =)
