Here is a Northeastern Coyote. I posted it to show how large they are compared to the Western coyote. They are well overpopulated in New York, and other parts of the Northeast.

  • you say they are overpopulated in NY, according to who? Humans are overpopulated in NY and are much more of a threat to the environment. I hunt but I don't believe each state should be a deer farm only.

  • Yes they are cool animals, but they need to be hunted. They become a problem if their are to many.

  • I just heard a group of them vocalizing in the woods, sounded incredibly primeval, love these animals!

  • Where is this? Looks like my area in PA. There are lots of coyote around here too. I do hunt, but for some reason I don't have any desire to shoot coyotes. I think they're kind of cool.
