Elvis recorded this song in 54 in a completely new style called Rockabilly. The song almost ten years old by that time,and also had been covered by Wyonie Harris in 1948. Presley added a simpler, more energetic "We're gonna rock, rock, rock!" Described as "a flat-out rocker" country radio programmers blanched, and older audiences somewhat mystified.

Roy Brown owned the rights to his composition til the 60,s when the irs bankrupted him for tax evasion his biggest source of income was from royalties from Elvis,s recording

If they did that without permission a big ol' copyright would slap them in the face. If copyright would have been around when Elvis was around, he'd be a lot less popular.

Elvis is full artist. Good actor, good singer, was very simpatic with his fans, so, I think that You were, was and will be the one!!!! doesn't matter what some peoples talk about. 32 year after Elvis death,and continues being the best!!!
