  • What is the total space in cubic inches of this backpack? I am trying to find a bag for myself and trying to figure out how big I should go.

  • @cymek11 Sorry, but I don't know. I bought this backpack when it was on sale at Amazon a couple of years ago and I don't remember any details. BTW, check out my new BOB video I posted a couple of days ago. I've made significant changes including changing the actual backpack.

  • No weapons?

  • @45bloo That was addressed at 12:48. I don't want to leave a gun in the car to be stolen, but I always carry concealed so there is one on me. Also, since I filmed this, I have upgraded the knife to a full sized KaBar.

  • Great setup, good job on keeping the weight down, i m too much of a pack rat...good thing I can carry a lot :)

  • @TheGorillatavern I had the same issue with my 1st several iterations of the bag. Several times I pulled everything out and asked myself why each item was in there. I slowly got rid of MOST of the excess. Also, I created a detailed inventory (current version is in the video description) and posted it on forums I'm active on to get feedback. Eventually, I forced myself to downsize by moving to a smaller backpack. I'm pretty happy with what I have now, but I'm sure it will continue to evolve.

  • Nice BOB. Only thing I would suggest is a good folder to accompany that fixed blade and compass and lip balm are keepers forever. Relocate them :-). Good job man. Stay safe.

  • great BOB. the vac sealed packs are a great idea but as for the mechanical items like the crank radio you'll want to know if it is in working order when you do your 6mos or 12mos QA checks. I guess a couple of bucks each years for a new vac seal bag isn't that expensive. easy to check expiration dates on Cliff bars.

  • in a emergency situation the "extras" you don't need to toss away, hold on to them. you can always use them to barter or trade with...they might be worth something to somebody else, or you can stash them away somewhere where you can retrieve them later since you have packed them so well!

  • I like your setup and your choice of pack!

  • try the small packs you add to water instead of the large gatorade packs....may save room and ounces and you know what they say.....ounces makes pounds and pounds make pain......and dryer lint for fire tender

  • Very, very impressive.
