Ivy Acres Fawn

My wife and I were sitting on our front porch this summer in late July 2008 and I left to go to the rest room and saw on one of our security video monitors what I thought was a stray dog in the back yard, I told my wife that I was going to run the dog off and discovered that it was a newly born fawn. It had come out of the woods from behind our home and was walking around our house. The fawn was a little shaky and I was wondering if something was wrong with it, but later found out that new born are shaky in the beginning. The fawn went all the way around our house and headed back into the woods. There was a thunderstorm coming up and I was afraid that the fawn may have been abandoned. I went to where I had last seen the fawn and its mother was there and they ran into the woods. Harry and Linda Bridges Casar, NC
