A protest is currently taking place outside the US Consulate in Edinburgh against the proposed Qur'an burning.

Police had to step in to protect officials of the US Consulate in Edinburgh today during a protest against the burning of the Qur'an.

Local Muslims gathered to make their point outside the Regent Terrace office, angry at reports an American minister planned to burn a Qur'an on 11 September.

As our video shows, the Consulate's principle officer Dana M. Linnet was caught in a crowd of protesters shouting "America, terrorist."
