the top is made of styrofoam- i glued and painted it-- and it rotates on top of a small disco ball machine-- the machine can be bought at Target ( if you are in the US) for about 15 bucks... you wont use the disco ball though...

Was yours a battery operated one? Or did you hide the wires down through the cake with the straws? Thanks:)
I found the show on cable and set it to record. Thank you:)
The only one I knew about was Ace Of Cakes.
Thank you for answering so quickly:)

This one was just battery operated. the size was just small enough to fit under the red roof. you can get this at Target-- look in the party supplies aisle and it's the small disco ball for table centers. you just need a way to turn it on once in the cake. the hole in this topper was big enough so i can take it out when needed.

this is absolutely beautiful. I made a mickey mouse clubhouse cake for my son on his second birthday and it wasn't nearly as extravagant. I have tried to do MMF a couple of times and it never comes out pliable and always has cracks, i have tried adding a lil water and a lil shortening but it just doesnt work. I can't even work it into a cirlce to cover a round cake. Any suggestions?

I have always had the same problem before... it will take some troubleshooting on your part to find out where the problem lies. In my case, i initially found out that it works best for me if i wait til it cools down and i use it within two hours. If i wait overnight, it just wasnt the same to me. i have a tutorial on it here too
