Marc Canter defines his idea of wrong and right when talking about companies trying to control their data (a bad thing of course) and services that give users the control over their own data (as it should be in his eyes). In the light of being open, he elaborates on the issue of the open mesh with publicly available identities, social graphs, two-way APIs and so on. Or as Marc Canter would say: Open is the new black.
